Pat Perez Straight Shooting Tiger Woods Situation

This past week found Pat Perez in the headlines for making some pretty interesting statements about Tiger Woods. The funny part is how many people took Perez to task over his comments and how angry they got at him over it. Here are some excerpts: ‰ÛÏPersonally, I don‰Ûªt think you‰Ûªll see him again this year. I think he‰Ûªs out. The only thing he‰Ûªs going to care about is Augusta. ‰Û_ It‰Ûªs not like he‰Ûªs got his favorite major courses after Augusta. I‰Ûªm telling you, I don‰Ûªt think you‰Ûªre going to see this guy again. The guy can‰Ûªt show up to an interview. You think he thinks he can beat somebody? The guy can‰Ûªt stand during an interview.‰Û ‰ÛÏThe guy shot 77 [in the first round in Dubai]. That guy can‰Ûªt shoot 77. What does he do the next day? Ah, my back‰Ûªs gone. These seem to be pretty fair comments given what we've seen in the Tiger Woods story over the past few years. What's more hilarious to me was that Perez had to text Woods to clarify what he said and then had to speak publicly to try and backtrack on what he said (just a little bit) because god forbid he says something the public may not want to accept as the possible reality for the Big Cat. Perez has been noted as being a bit of a "son of a bitch" over the years, but I for one like that he says what's on his mind and isn't painted to be this perfect model human. It's nice to see these pro golfers as real flawed human beings like the rest of us every once in awhile. Let's all remember though, Tiger's still a total GOAT. I go back and forth on where I stand with Brandel Chamblee, but I did enjoy his take on this whole situation. Maybe mostly because I appreciated his Bull Durham references.
